The Lafette Inn was built around 1890, and its name derives from a Lafette, a mobile gun carriage, left by French troops in the Höllental in 1796. In the 1930s, there was also a petrol station here. Today, the inn is idyllically located in a nature reserve and is a popular starting point for hikes, cycling and motorbike tours.
